and Computer Aided Technology Announce Technical
Alliance January 30, 2001 -
Indianapolis, Indiana -
Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, one of the top teams in the chase for
the Indy Racing Northern Light Racing Series Championship, has
announced a technical alliance and sponsorship agreement with
Computer Aided Technology (CATI), one of the country’s leading
value-added providers of software and training solutions to the
engineering, manufacturing, and education industries. In the alliance, Dreyer
and Reinbold Racing’s technical staff and engineers will utilize
CATI’s “best-in-class” products, implementation assistance, and
ongoing training and technical support in the team’s design and
production of contemporary, state-of-the-art race components. Dreyer & Reinbold has
already initiated its use of SolidWorks® software, the
leading mainstream 3D CAD solution. For Dreyer and Reinbold
Racing, the relationship seems to be a natural one for both
companies. “We truly
believe that SolidWorks software and the uncompromised technical
support and experience of CATI specialists will greatly assist us in
our mission to win the 2001 Indy Racing Northern Light Racing
Championship,” stated Dennis Reinbold of Dreyer and Reinbold Racing.
“We also believe that CATI, a company with a steep growth curve,
will benefit from its experience and exposure at the Indy Racing
League and Indy Racing Northern Light Series.” “We have been impressed with
Dreyer & Reinbold Racing’s desire and commitment to advance the
design and production of its race components, and we feel our
products and staff can contribute to the team’s performance and
ultimate success,” stated Richard Werneth, Vice President of Sales
for CATI. “We are
delighted to partner with one of the Indy Racing League’s leading
teams and are looking forward to contributing to the momentum of the
Indy Racing Northern Light Series.” Team Purex/Dreyer &
Reinbold Racing finished 8th in the 2000 IRNLS standings
and the team’s entry, driven by Robbie Buhl, raced to a win in the
season-opening event at Walt Disney World Speedway.
