Symantec antivirus
and system security released an update of their definitions,
in this definition it marked IJL11.DLL as a malicious dll
file. This file is normally contained in the root of the SolidWorks
install directory and controls primarily the creation of jpg
files when used in the "save as" function.
The software right now moves the file into quarantine. It
needs to be released from quarantine in order to work properly.
We are working with SolidWorks to get a better handle on the
process to release the file and allow it to run. We are also
looking for other features in SolidWorks that need this dll
to run properly.
In the mean time please be aware of the symptoms caused by
this. It generally results in three stacked errors.
-"The specified module could not be found"
-"Could not load SolidWorks DLL: sldjpegu.dll."
-"The Add-in selected is not a valid SolidWorks Add-in"
-If the dll file is missing, and the quarantine has already
been deleted, the file can be replaced with the file from
any other machine running SolidWorks, provided the service
packs are the same.
