Technical Support Bulletin: Using the Arrow Key Navigation option for navigating in SolidWorks.
By Paul Niedermann

Using the Arrow Key Navigation in SolidWorks allows you to roll up and down the FeatureManager Design Tree using the arrow keys on the keyboard. This can be a quick and useful way to move around in the feature tree.

To set the Arrow Key Navigation option, go to Tools, Options, FeatureManager, check the box for arrow key navigation. See following image.

To use this option, open a file and select the Roll Back Bar and then by pressing the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard you will see the roll back bar update its position accordingly.

In the example image below you will see the up arrow was depressed six times (or held down for a second) to roll back the bar to the middle of the feature tree.
