COSMOS licensing scheme is different
from SolidWorks. To request a license form, use link http://www.SolidWorks Simulation Premium.com/pages/services/support/licenserequest.html
Fill in all the required information. The Host ID requested
is the MAC address* of your machine. Finally select
“submit”. The license file “license.dat”,
is emailed within 3 business days. Save the license file to
a known location.
(Recommended “C:\Program Files\SolidWorks2006\COSMOS\license\license.dat”)
To configure COSMOS license, use the COSMOS License Administrator.
To access License Administrator go to your Windows
“start” menu select “All programs”,
select your “SolidWorks SP 3.3” or for earlier
versions of COSMOS, select “COSMOS tools”, select
“License Administrator tool”.
Next, select the
“Authorized Modules” tab. Select “Edit”
in the “Available COSMOS License Files” and browse
to “license.dat” file and finally select “Refresh”.
