Mark Peters, President of IMPACT Engineering Solutions in Brookfield, WI, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to the SolidWorks Users’ Group community. Mark was one of the founding members of the SolidWorks Users’ Group Network (SWUGN) back in 1997, as well as Richard Doyle, who is now employed by the SolidWorks Corporation. Richard had the honor of presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mark.
“Mark has been a serious contributor to the SolidWorks Users’ community and is responsible for the creation of Users’ Groups, not just in the Midwest, but world-wide,” said Richard.
Mark is also responsible for the creation of the Midwest Users’ Group, an annual event that brings together more than 250 Midwest SolidWorks Users, SolidWorks Corporate representatives, local VAR’s and solution partner personnel and support. Users who attend this event have been able to do so for a minimal cost due to Mark’s ability to secure supporting funds.
“Since so many people were unable to get to SolidWorks World, I decided to create our own in the Midwest,” said Mark.
As Mark retires from this leadership role within the Users’ Group Community, he will be missed but his legacy will live on. Congratulations Mark!
