Getting the most out of your meta data

With 3DVIA Composer, we are able to reuse meta data that has been stored within a SolidWorks  or PDM/PLM system in numerous ways.

Below is a SolidWorks File and it’s related Meta Data:

When adding Labels in 3DVIA Composer you can see it extracting and utilizing both pieces of meta data from the SolidWorks file:

This allows us to create and manage file’s individual properties in our PDM/PLM system or SolidWorks and utilize it downstream to speed up product documentation.
