Unable to Locate File & Other Warning Messages
By Bryan Pawlak

By now you have noticed that there have been many setting changes in the 2008 version of SolidWorks.  One of these changes is the dismissal of the warning messages, such as the one below.

                               image1

If you check the “do not ask me again” box this will dismiss this message for the duration of your SolidWorks session.   When you open SolidWorks again, you will find that these messages will not display when you are missing files.  It will just open your assembly, suppressing the missing parts.  This check box is not just for the active SolidWorks session.  So, if you realize that you are missing a message that you are used to seeing, you may want to check your system options under the Advanced option.

Place a checkmark in the box next to the message you wish to reset, and the next time you are missing a file when opening an assembly the message will appear asking you to locate the file.
