AccuMetria CMMWorks provides a powerful, economical and fully integrated off-line Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and simulation product for SolidWorks™.
Off-line programming of CMMs offers several benefits. It prevents CMMs from being tied up during on line programming. It allows the programmer to directly use the SolidWorks part or assembly to obtain accurate geometry and tolerance information. This allows the CMM programming to be completed before any physical parts exist, which helps streamline the manufacturing process. Off-line programming also helps to eliminate program errors that can lead to probe crashes.
AccuMetria uses an intelligent, metrology-based programming environment to easily create and edit CMM programs. You don't need to know any CMM languages. Simply select the geometry to inspect, the probe to use and the tolerances. With AccuMetria, it’s easy to change the sequence of the program, and to update the program when the SolidWorks geometry changes. AccuMetria can duplicate or mirror program sections for when your part has repeated geometry patterns and can inspect profiles using intersection curves. Full on-line documentation is provided, as is an on-line tutorial. When you're ready to download to the CMM, AccuMetria outputs an ANSI standard DMIS program.
AccuMetria also provides CMM motion simulation complete with collision detection. Using simulation, you can verify that your program will not cause unwanted and expensive collisions between the probe head assembly and the part, fixturing or CMM itself.
