This course offers current users of SolidWorks Simulation an insight into the Non – Linear world. Attendees will learn how to deal with models that exhibit large displacements and/or yielding, discuss and practice the use of material models available in the non –linear package.
Course pre-requisites: Some experience using Solidworks, SolidWorks Simulation course.

- Hyperelasticity (Mooney –Rivlin, Ogden)

- Temperature dependent material properties
- Visco-elastic and creep
Boundary Nonlinearities
- 3D nonlinear gap / contact analysis (with or without material nonlinearities)
Numerical Techniques
- Solution control techniques (force, displacement, and Arc-length controls)
- Equilibrium iteration schemes (Newton-Raphson, modified Newton –Raphson)
