Informative Graphics has developed new functionality to visualize SolidWorks 3D model assemblies and parts, as well as view and redline the SolidWorks native 2D drawing format. For the first time, a user can interact visually with model assemblies, redline their related drawings and view design documentation in office or PDF formats, all under one common user interface, in one session, and in an Internet Explorer, Netscape or non-browser viewing client. Model assemblies (SLDASM and SLDPRT files) created in SolidWorks can be visualized in MYRIAD 4.1 when combined with the 3D option. Features of the MYRIAD/SolidWorks integration enable users to:
- Visual assemblies, parts and drawings
- Browse by part name or identify by visual inquiry
- Create visual cuts, look through parts to expose others
- Measure against 3D model data or against interactively placed 2Dcross sections
- Redline drawings with MYRIAD's exclusive Changemarks' feature that walks a reviewer through each annotated change
- Print banners and watermarks
- Employ out-of-the-box integration to popular EDM/PDM systems
- Enjoy ease of use
The MYRIAD 3D option also supports visualization of models stored in IGES, STL and AutoCAD 3D files. MYRIAD provides viewing and redlining for native 2D CAD, plot, image, office and PDF formats. The combination of MYRIAD and SolidWorks expands and complements both packages' capabilities, giving you a full and robust design and viewing environment.
