Faced with an increasingly competitive market, Life Fitness needed to create a machine that could generate excitement and outperform competitors’ offerings at a major trade show. Creating the desired blend of form and function presented a challenge. The company’s primary design tool limited the ability to visualize and model the details of certain components. To meet its objectives, Life Fitness sought to extend the capabilities of the design staff and reduce customary design time by half.
