SolidWorks Simulation Professional
Course ID: C201
SolidWorks Simulation Professional predicts physical behavior of parts or assemblies under any loading condition. Results obtained enable engineers to detect design problems and cost improvements in less time than a prototype could be built.
Classroom: 2 sessions, 7 hours each
Virtual Classroom: 4 sessions 3-1/2 hours each
Prereqs:
SolidWorks Simulation
Topics Covered
Determine how moving and contacting parts behave within an assembly
Perform drop test analysis
Optimize your model to meet pre-specified design criteria
Determine if your design will fail due to buckling or vibration
Solve extensive thermal simulation problems
static thermal analysis
transient thermal analysis (time based)
Perform coupled thermal and structural analysis
Determine failure due to fatigue from cyclic loading on your designs
Reduce the costs and time delays caused by physical prototyping
Identify potential design flaws and correct them earlier in the design process
At Course Completion
Students will know how to use the simulation capabilities of SolidWorks Simulation Professional
