SolidWorks Industrial Design Modeling
Course ID: S431

This course is the most advanced level class offered for free form design using SolidWorks. The course focuses on expanding the knowledge of the advanced user to include skills required to create complex solid models utilizing all the functionality available within the SolidWorks environment for complex surface creation.

Classroom: 3 sessions, 7 hours each
Virtual Classroom: 6 sessions 3-1/2 hours each
Prereqs:

SolidWorks Essentials
SolidWorks Part Modeling
SolidWorks Assembly Modeling
SolidWorks Advanced Surface Modeling

Topics Covered
  • Introduction to industrial design concepts
  • Model planning
  • Sketch and curve creation
  • Advanced surface creation
  • Transforming surfaces into solids
  • Creating complex geometry using only solids
"The instructor spoke clearly, gave us enough time to follow, and even explained some of the mathematics behind features so that we would understand what we were doing. It was more than just following the steps." - Robert King

At Course Completion
Students will know how to create complex shapes with SolidWorks utilizing several different methods and a variety of SolidWorks functionality. They will be able to more effectively determine the what methods are most appropriate for given modeling situations, as well as, understand what alternative methods can be used for geometry creation.

Course Materials
The SolidWorks Industrial Design Modeling training guide will be supplied at the beginning of class and is yours to keep.

Price
