Place your Sweep Profile Anywhere

If you have taken any of our advanced part modeling or surfacing classes in the past we have always preached to make sure that your SWEEP profile was located at one end or the other of your sweep path.

This usually meant that it was much easier to draw your sweep PATH first, so that you would know where to locate the sweep PROFILE.

Well, forget all that with SOLIDWORKS 2016…

With the new options to sweep in Direction1, Direction2, or Bi-Directional it doesn’t matter anymore!

Put your sweep profile anywhere that is convenient, draw it first if you want, etc etc!

Great time saver and ONLY in SOLIDWORKS 2016!
