In this Blog I am introducing some unknown feature called <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sketch Tools<\/span><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I will be explaining how to use <strong>Modify Hole Fillets<\/strong> sketch function works, but as you can see, there are several sketch tools functions that\u00a0the user can use to complete the task faster.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/SOLIDWORKS-1486060533097.png\" alt=\"SOLIDWORKS\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Modify Hole Fillets<\/strong> has 2 pull down menus to decide how the offset is processed (By Distance) or (By Radius).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/SOLIDWORKS-1486060533097-1.png\" alt=\"SOLIDWORKS\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let me explain the difference between the options.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/SOLIDWORKS-1486060533097-2.png\" alt=\"SOLIDWORKS\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As shown above, both radius&#8217; started as .250, selecting the (By Radius) removes the\u00a0old fillet and replaces it by Concave and Convex Delta R.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As shown above, when selecting the (By Distance), it removes the old fillet and replaces it by Concave and Concave Distance as shown.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Also notice that once the update is complete, <strong>3DQUICKPRESS<\/strong> changes the color of the sketch to green.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The limitation to <strong>Modify Hole Fillets<\/strong> is replacing splines inside sketches when selecting arcs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Modify Hole Fillets<\/strong> however cannot create a square corner if the input R is larger than the current sketch R if you are creating a Convex Distance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Example: (By Radius) The sketch below shows the Concave and Convex radius has been updating them to the new value when the R starts as .250 then updating to .275 and .225 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/SOLIDWORKS-1486060533097-3.png\" alt=\"SOLIDWORKS\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Example: (By Distance) The sketch below shows the Concave and Convex radius has been updating them to the new value when the R starts as .250 then updating to .310 and .189 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/SOLIDWORKS-1486060533097-4.png\" alt=\"SOLIDWORKS\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thanks and I hope you enjoy all of the new blogs about <strong>3DQUICKPRESS. <\/strong>Please check back to view other articles <strong>3DQUICKPRESS<\/strong> <em>Sketch Tools<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ronnie C.
