It checks for consistency in categories such as dimensioning standards, fonts, materials, and sketches to ensure that SOLIDWORKS documents meet pre-defined design criteria. The checker will produce a list of failed checks.<\/p>\n<p>A few years back some of my colleagues wrote a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/how-to-use-the-solidworks-design-checker-part-1\/?_gl=1*1xtr4dk*_ga*MTA0OTc2NDMwNi4xNTU2NDYzMDUw*_ga_TX959R0715*MTYxMjc5MzEyOS45NC4xLjE2MTI3OTMzNDMuMA..\">four-part series on Design Checker<\/a>. They broke it down discussing the different area of the tool.<\/p>\n<p>I am going to check and make sure the Drafting Standard, Unit Settings, Dimension Font, Arrow Style and Proper Drawing Template are being used.<\/p>\n<p>This is the drawing I will check. Notice the drawing was created using SOLIDWORKS DriveWorks. The Drawing Standard is ISO, dimension font is Century Gothic (24 pt size), arrows not filled in and sheet format is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/driveworks-design-automation\/\">DriveWorks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-71348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/diagram-engineering-drawing-description-automati-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Diagram, engineering drawing Description automatically generated\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s get started.<\/p>\n<p>First, we will turn on Design Checker add-in.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-71349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/graphical-user-interface-text-application-descr-9.jpeg\" alt=\"Graphical user interface, text, application Description automatically generated\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We will need to create a checklist.
