The SOLIDWORKS Electrical PDM connector tool is available for use in the application.<\/p>\n<p>The users of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/software\/solidworks-electrical\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SOLIDWORKS Electrical<\/a> will also see a new tab added to their ribbon menu named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/software\/solidworks-pdm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SOLIDWORKS PDM<\/a> that will give them functions to operate with PDM.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-154707\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_10-22-47.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"789\" height=\"146\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_10-22-47.bmp 789w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_10-22-47-300x56.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_10-22-47-768x142.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 789px) 100vw, 789px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The integration tool will be an add-in to the specified PDM vault<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-154706\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_10-23-39.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"371\" height=\"97\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_10-23-39.bmp 371w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_10-23-39-300x78.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Configuring the PDM Connector<\/h2>\n<p>You can configure the SOLIDWORKS Electrical PDM connector by opening the PDM administration and logging into the vault. From here, you will go to Add-ins and right-click on the connector and select the SOLIDWORKS Electrical Integration Administration option.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-154705\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_11-39-43-500x366-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"366\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_11-39-43-500x366-1.jpg 500w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_11-39-43-500x366-1-300x220.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The SOLIDWORKS Electrical Integration Administration window has three tabs named General settings, BOM settings, and File structure. General settings define the configuration for the most important system values and BOM settings define the settings for handling Bills Of Materials. File structure defines the configuration for file and folder names in SOLIDWORKS PDM and the mapping rules for the attributes going to PDM Variables.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-154704\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_11-39-54-500x366-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"366\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_11-39-54-500x366-1.jpg 500w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2021-05-06_11-39-54-500x366-1-300x220.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When an electrical project is first checked into the PDM vault, each project book gets a folder with individual copies of each schematic. Within this folder, you will have a folder containing the project\u2019s individual schematics in .dwg format if you so desire. A complete archive of the project is included as well as a full PDF of the design.
