In particular, you&#8217;ll see a lot of improvements around SOLIDWORKS 2023 licensing. These changes create better workflows when working within the SolidNetWork license manager to control your network licenses.\u00a0 Read on or watch the video to learn more:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GyqwJweZP4U\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Adding Serial Numbers to SNL<\/h2>\n<p>It is now much easier to add your serial number to the license manager. On the activate\\deactivate window, there is a new button \u201cADD&#8221;. Clicking this option will open a new window where you can type in serial numbers or simply copy and paste. You can also delete non-active serial numbers from this list. This new interface makes managing SOLIDWORKS 2023 licensing very convenient when administrating and managing your serial numbers!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-191789\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-description-automaticall-4.png\" alt=\"SOLIDWORKS 2023 license management got a huge boost when they added an &quot;add&quot; button to the activate\/deactivate section of the installation.\" width=\"1218\" height=\"552\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-description-automaticall-4.png 1218w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-description-automaticall-4-300x136.png 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-description-automaticall-4-1024x464.png 1024w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-description-automaticall-4-768x348.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1218px) 100vw, 1218px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Manage Term Licenses<\/h2>\n<p>The activation dialog box now has a filter to make it easier to isolate individual serial numbers and highlight products within 30 days of their expiration date. The system will also mark the products that need to be renewed with an asterisk.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-191790\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-table-description-autom.png\" alt=\"Making it easy to see your subscription end date, SOLIDWORKS 2023 license management introduces a table of all active products with their relevant subscriptions so you know if any products are going to expire.\" width=\"453\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-table-description-autom.png 453w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-table-description-autom-300x223.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 453px) 100vw, 453px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Controlling Flow Add-in<\/h2>\n<p>If you use network licenses for your Flow Simulation, and you have the additional add-in for HVAC or Electronics Cooling, it is now possible to launch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/software\/solidworks-flow-simulation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation<\/a> without tying up licenses for all products. This gives you the ability to better control the sharing of this license. You control this setting on the License Order tab in the license manager.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-191791\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-text-application-descr-3.png\" alt=\"One great improvement to SOLIDWORKS 2023 licensing is the option to automatically load the Flow Sim module if it's available, leading to faster load times in SOLIDWORKS.\" width=\"727\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-text-application-descr-3.png 727w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/graphical-user-interface-text-application-descr-3-300x209.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 727px) 100vw, 727px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Turning this setting off and going to the add-ins tab of the command manager lets you select which Flow products need to be added. This lets you share the add-in modules amongst every SOLIDWORKS Flow user. Now when you use the &#8220;Borrow License&#8221; function with network licenses, you have the option to use only borrow licenses and to block the client&#8217;s communication with the server. How do you do this? Easy, with the 3DExperience Exchange add-in. In 2023 this add-in installs by default and allows users outside the platform to receive a package of content from a 3DExperience source. They can add to and modify the content, and then send it back to the 3DExperience source.
