ExOne® rapidly solves your toughest problems through agile, innovative 3D printing solutions. Using Binder Jetting technology, an additive manufacturing process, to selectively join a binding agent with industrial-grade powder particles, ExOne 3D printers create a custom finished product from a 3D CAD file using metal, sand, or ceramic materials.

ExOne 3D printing technology is capable of handling complexity beyond what is possible with traditional manufacturing technology approaches. Plus, design modifications can be made on the 3D CAD file in seconds and reprinted without complicated and expensive changes. With a high print speed and endless part geometry, ExOne is your optimal choice for printing cost-effective, customized parts using industrial-grade materials.

A Furnace Built for the Office

ExOne technology isn’t just office safe, it was built for the office environment. The X1F advanced furnace by Rapidia is fully automated, safe and easy to install. Powered by a 60A single-phase receptacle and sized to fit through an office door, it is designed from the ground up to be truly office-friendly. The furnace software comes pre-loaded with sintering profiles; just select a material and press start. A thick walled retort ensures thermal uniformity over the full temperature range, with a peak temperature of 1400 °C.

No debinding required

Once a part has been printed there is no need to debind before sintering. Parts printed with conventional three-stage processes need to be debound from the polymer binder. This step can take up to 50 hours, and requires boiling the part in a chemical solvent - a messy and dangerous process in an office. Other systems with a two-step process require a lengthy thermal debinding cycle that can take several days for a large part. The Rapidia process eliminates this step by using a water-based binder that is safe to handle and evaporates during sintering, saving time and mess.

The Capability to Create the Most Complex Parts

  • Evaporative Supports. Rapidia is the only system that lets users print parts with complex internal structures, enabled by proprietary evaporative polymer/ceramic supports. Reduce wasted metal by up to 90%. Same evaporative support is also used as a separation layer when metal support is needed.
  • Hand Removable Supports. Metal supports are easily removable by hand, reducing post-processing time.
  • Water-Bonding. Join unsintered parts together to make complex assemblies, simply by wetting both parts and pressing them together.
