It’s here! We’re excited to announce that on March 6th, 2018 we welcomed our first Desktop Metal Studio System 3D Printer at our new Fisher Unitech office located at mHUB in Chicago, IL. We’ve been thrilled to be a Diamond partner with Desktop Metal, and the innovations metal 3D printing can bring to the table.
The Desktop Metal Studio System is safe, cost-effective, simple to use, and unlike any other metal 3D printer currently on the market.
The Desktop Metal Studio System is a complete solution designed around the premise that metal 3D printing should be easier, less expensive and more accessible for design and engineering teams. It’s built on cloud-based software architecture, enabling users to go directly from CAD to part. By having one software platform across the system, designers and engineers can work with one digital file for a metal part throughout its entire lifecycle instead of needing to use 3rd party equipment and software.
Our new Studio System eliminates traditional lasers and powders making it safe for any facility. Unlike laser-based systems that selectively melt metal powder, the Desktop Metal Studio System extrudes bound metal rods, similar to how a plastic FDM printer works.
From prototyping to mass production, Desktop Metal is reinventing the way manufacturing and engineering companies produce 3D printed metal parts and eliminates the need for special facilities and dedicated operators.
Come and check it out for yourself! Our new Desktop Metal Studio System will be on display Friday, March 9th, 2018 at the mHUB 1 Year Celebration Open House. We hope to see you there.
