• Mold Tools and SOLIDWORKS Plastics

Did you know SOLIDWORKS had Mold Tools in the command manager? Have you ever wonder what those Mold Tools icons inside of SOLIDWORKS do?  If so then come and learn how to become more efficient in SOLIDWORKS Mold Tools from an Application Engineer from DASI Solutions . The Mold Tools presentation will demonstrate the available mold tools in SOLIDWORKS and will also have a light overview of SOLIDWORKS Plastics.

Ryan Cole main focus is supporting DASI’s customer base in the SW Michigan and Indiana regions, based out of the South Bend/Mishawaka office. Ryan recently rejoined DASI in February 2011, however has been affiliated with DASI Solutions for 16+ years. He began his career in engineering with DASI’s parent company CybLlings in 1995, as a CAD Designer. While working at CybLlings, he became one of the first SOLIDWORKS users in Michigan. He first became interested in engineering while working with his grandfather as a teenager, using AutoCAD. Collectively, Ryan brings 20+ years of real-world design and engineering experience in mechanical and structural design (electrical, tool & die, fixtures, sheet metal fabrication, special machines, frames and weld standards) using several CAD and FEA packages, 3D solid modeling. He has held positions as Senior Designer, Lead Engineer, FEA Engineer and Project Manager in Automotive, Robotics, Emergency Vehicles, Defense, Custom RV Chassis’ and Aerospace. He is also well versed in various material properties and engineering/manufacturing requirements, such as engineering change, design review, supplier development and support, ASTM, GD&T, APQP, QS9000, TS16949 and implementation of PDM systems.

6:00pm – 6:30pm: Sign-up, mingle with other SW users and grab some free food

6:30pm – 7:00pm: Open meeting and open floor discussion

7:00pm – 8:00pm: Mold Tool and Plastics

8:00pm – 8:15pm: Wrap up and door prizes
