PR CATI Zuken E3WireWorks announcement

Appointment of CATI – New Distributor in North America

Westford, MA, USA – December 20, 2010– Zuken has announced that Computer Aided Technology, Inc. (CATI) has joined its growing North American network of E³.WireWorks resellers. Headquartered in Buffalo Grove, IL, CATI operates multiple full-service facilities in the Midwest serving Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri and Wisconsin. The company provides carefully selected leading software and hardware technologies and has teamed this up with support from its own comprehensive training program and help desk that has earned the company a well respected position in the local market.

Zuken’s E³.WireWorks closely integrates with SOLIDWORKS Premium Routing and Enterprise PDM, providing a complete design solution from design concept through physical realization and manufacturing output. With E³.WireWorks in their portfolio, which enables truly integrated mechanical, electrical, and fluid design, CATI can now offer its customers an electrical/fluid design solution to replace outdated technologies that are currently used by their customers.

Rich Werneth, president of CATI, commented, “Electrical design is required by a large segment of our clients. We currently do not have a focused offering for that area and we look forward to working with a leader like Zuken to serve our customers.”

The combination of  E³.WireWorks and SOLIDWORKS directly addresses the trend of mixed mechanical and electrical content prevalent in most products and systems today. This fast growing trend requires tightly integrated electrical, fluid, and mechanical design tools to support a multidisciplinary design approach that encourages collaboration across design groups. The result is a faster design process with fewer errors, thereby lowering costs and improving the final product.

“We are pleased to have CATI as part of the Zuken team,” said Tony Cadwell, worldwide reseller manager for Zuken EAS. “CATI’s team of professionals is dedicated to the success of their customers, much the same as Zuken. E3.WireWorks broadens their ability to serve those customers.”

About E³.WireWorks
E³.WireWorks is a Windows-based, modular, scalable and intuitive design system for wiring, harnesses, cable assemblies, and cabinet and panel layout. Its unique design approach stores circuit diagrams, cabinet and panel layouts, and nail board drawings in one multi-view project file. This keeps all drawings and the BOM automatically in sync, reducing errors, increasing quality and enabling engineering changes to be completed more efficiently. Its close integration with SOLIDWORKS Premium Routing shares netlist, cable, and component data between E³.WireWorks and SOLIDWORKS. It also returns routed segment and wire length information from SOLIDWORKS to E³.WireWorks for manufacturing documentation. SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM integration enables data management, workflow, and lifecycle control.
