CAD/Scan to 3D Print Workshop

Event #: 3DP500

You’ve mastered your design skills. Now, your goal is to create a 3D Printed part from your CAD models. Or, maybe you find yourself wanting to make design changes to legacy parts, but you are missing the CAD data needed to reverse engineer and prototype the changes. Join us for this workshop to learn how to go from 3D CAD and 3D Scanning to a 3D Printed part.

In this seminar, we will demonstrate these processes with SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software, Creaform 3D Scanners, and Stratasys 3D Printers.

Who Should Attend:

  • Product Designers and Engineers
  • Engineering Managers and Directors
  • Additive Manufacturing Technicians

What You Will Learn:

  • Optimizing SOLIDWORKS design for 3D Printing
  • Design considerations for 3D Printing for parts and assemblies
  • Manage imported 3D models in SOLIDWORKS
  • Live demo of Creaform scanning equipment
  • Export stl files from scanned data for additive manufacturing
  • Export scanned data directly into SOLIDWORKS for reverse engineering
