Computer Aided Technology provides our customers with a comprehensive training offering that provides a rich set of classes, flexible delivery from our certified training centers.
CATI provides powerful tools, but without the right know-how, the full potential of these tools cannot be attained. We are certified by SOLIDWORKS, Stratasys and our other partners to provide their complete catalog of course offerings. We have also developed unique classes to meet the needs of our customers. We offer introductory and advanced classes in Design, Simulation, Data Management, Design Automation, 3D Printing and more.
Classes can be purchased individually. This offers the most flexibility for those with specific needs. Our CATalyst program offers full access to all of our classes. This is the best option for an individual who needs a broad exposure and complete support. For organizations that want to address the training needs of a group, the CATI Professional Development Program provides flexible access to training at an economical rate.
This is the traditional method for learning about our products. CATI has training facilities near you to provide the personal face to face interaction that will get you productive fast.
The CATI Virtual Classroom (VC) is an innovative way to deliver full classroom training without the expense of travel. The VC is based on technology from WebEx.
CATI offers eLearning solutions from SOLIDWORKS and SolidProfessor. The MySolidWorks platform gives you access to hours of quality training material available on-line. The SolidProfessor LMS brings a comprehensive library of multimedia training right to your desktop. It allows you to access training at the click of a mouse without ever leaving the SOLIDWORKS environment. Contact us for more information.
All of CATI’s training facilities have state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the student has the best training experience possible. Our instructors are certified training professionals. Details on each site are found in the Directions and Locations menu.
CATI’s annual CATalyst NOW membership provides the customer with the training and support needed while lowering the cost of overall investments and reducing administrative paperwork. The CATalyst NOW membership gives the customer the opportunity to choose any or all of CATI's wide variety of SOLIDWORKS core and industry-specific classes for one full year.
All SOLIDWORKS training should start with the essentials.
SOLIDWORKS Essentials is the foundation on which you can build your modeling skills. It covers the base concepts and conventions on which the rest of our SOLIDWORKS classes are based. (If you need to create drawings of your designs, SOLIDWORKS Drawings will show you how to make complete design documentation.
Part Modeling and Assembly Modeling will complete your knowledge of solids modeling tools and techniques. If your designs require complex or organic shapes, Advanced Surfacing Modeling will introduce you to surface modeling techniques. CATI's exclusive Industrial Design Modeling class is the ultimate surface modeling class.
Mold Design, Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Translation Techniques are focused on specific types of parts and assemblies with distinctive fabrication methods or applications.
PhotoView 360, CAD Productivity Tools and Motion Manager are self study guides that will allow you to do more with your design data.
SOLIDWORKS Professional and Premium come with a basic PDM system called SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard (EPDM). The User and Implementer classes cover the use and administration of this system.
If you need to automate or customize SOLIDWORKS for your specific application our API Programming classes will get you started.
The SOLIDWORKS Simulation course is the foundation class and is a prerequisite for most other classes. It covers the simulation tools that come with SOLIDWORKS Premium. The other classes are aligned by product. You take the class for the software you purchased.
CATI offers two different PDM solutions. SOLIDWORKS Standard and Professional CAD licenses come with PDM Standard, a basic system design for small work-groups.
SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional is a complete design data management system from SOLIDWORKS. We offer classes tailored for CAD Designers and for non-CAD users. We also have a training course for those responsible for system configuration and maintenance.
With a consistent, powerful, intuitive set of electrical design capabilities, all fully integrated with the SOLIDWORKS solution portfolio, designers can establish an integrated design early in the design process and avoid costly design rework. Our SOLIDWORKS Electrical Training Classes will get you started.
CATI offers training on Stratasys 3D Printing Systems. Our current class offering covers Insight Software Training. Insight software prepares your CAD program’s STL output to be manufactured on a Fortus system by automatically slicing and generating support structures and material extrusion paths.
