Production Scheduler (PSL)
The Production Scheduler manages the scheduling and rescheduling of work, and by doing so improves productivity, delivery performance and work in progress.

The Production Scheduler is responsible for the production scheduling process, where work is assigned to resources. The main goal is to make the production process as efficient and cost-effective as possible when it comes to material and resources – all while delivering products on time.
The scheduling process manages the firmed work orders which originate from MRP/ERP, and orchestrates the manufacturing resources typically from a few hours to a few weeks in the future. The Production Scheduler ensures the most optimal schedule is created in terms of productivity, WIP and delivery performance, while taking into account complex business rules. It is also responsible for communicating the schedule and handling the many disturbances from production execution.
