We have always stressed that you need you use the SOLIDWORKS Explorer when you make changes to your SOLIDWORKS files so that SOLIDWORKS is able to track the changes. This includes renaming, replacing, and now moving your files. There is a new move function in the 2012 Explore that will move a solidworks file and update its references. It appear that this is limited to one file at a time, but this is a step in the right direction. Next we need to expand this functionality to move multiple file at a time. Next time you are in SOLIDWORKS Explorer 2012 take a look at the new icons and test it out for yourself.
