SOLIDWORKS SHEET METAL: The angle of this bend fell outside the bend allowance/deduction table
Here I have a piece of sheet metal with two bends. A 90° and a 45° bend.
Here is the gauge/bend table used to create it.
But I get the following warning: "The angle of this bend fell outside the bend allowance/deduction table. The bend allowance/deduction is evaluated using the K factor instead."
SOLIDWORKS, WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?!?
There's a 90° on my part and in the table. There's a 45° in my part and a 45° in the table!
So what's wrong with my 45° bend?
When SOLIDWORKS goes to read the bend angle, it measures the bend from the flat position. So my 45° bend is read as a 135° bend.
Since my table only goes up to 90°, the bend is now outside the boundaries. The easiest way to fix this is to just add a 135° angle to the gauge/bend table.
And VOILA! All fixed!
