A Day In The Life - PDM Administrator

My primary job at InFlow Technology is to discuss our offerings with customers and to help them find the best solution. One of the primary products I deal with on a daily basis is SOLIDWORKS PDM. Often, the discussion begins as a Q&A to discover what version of PDM best suits their needs. As we wind down the conversation, we discuss the topic of administrator training. I always encourage enrolling in a PDM Administrator class if you are going to be an administrator. We go through a hands-on session so that you will have actual experience going through each task you may encounter on a day-to-day basis. But what happens after the training? What does a day in the life of a PDM administrator look like?

We have been hard at work producing a new video series that covers this exact topic. Today, I am proud to announce the release of our YouTube series – A Day In The Life – PDM Administrator. In this series, the InFlow team will go through a series of tasks that you may encounter on a daily basis as an administrator. We cover everything from adding a new user to modifying a data card to have additional fields. Every task is something an administrator may do day-to-day. And even better, we’ve made these tasks into short videos. We know how busy you are, so most videos are done in just a few minutes.

This series will continue to grow as we add more and more topics. We just wanted to get the word out now because these videos are a great way to refresh yourself on the topics you have covered in training.
