Metal Threads in 3D Printed Parts
When threading 3d printed parts you can run into issues such as parts breaking or warping. To avoid this and add some extra strength to the holes you can insert metal threads into the parts.
When inserting metal threads into FDM use Heat Set Inserts. This will allow the metal thread to melt into the part.
For PolyJet parts use Press-Fit Expansion inserts for plastics. PolyJet material does not melt as easy as FDM.
