CATI 3D Scanning Product Announcement Part 2

CATI is proud to announce a new addition to our 3D printing lineup…….CREAFORM

In my previous article, I introduced you to the CREAFORM lineup of handheld 3D scanners. We discussed data acquisition and working with VXelements to produce an stl file and VXmodel for reverse engineering and direct file translation into SOLIDWORKS.

Is it possible to use the CREAFORM scanners for quality control, inspection, color mapping GD&T, excel reports, and first article inspection? The answer is yes. The same way VXmodel integrates into VXelements for reverse engineering, VXinspect integrates with VXelements to work with your scan data. VXinspect features the functionalities of pre-production control or when setting up a high-efficiency measurement sequence to inspect multiple parts. Highlighted below are the features used within VXinspect commonly used in pre-production and in-production workflow. VXinspect is ideal to build an inspection program to control critical dimensions during the manufacturing process preventing future problems.

VXinspect (add-on) Features and Benefits
