How To: Preventative Maintenance DIY Guide for your Stratasys FDM System

If you have a Stratasys Dimension 1200, Dimension Elite, uPrint, or Fortus 250mc, then doing preventative maintenance is a simple process that can be done on your own. You will first need to obtain a preventative maintenance kit from Stratasys by ordering it through your local reseller. Once the kit arrives you will notice that it contains 4 chamber fans, (2 for uPrint), a head cooling fan, and some covers for the print head. We do not replace the head covers unless the current ones are damaged.

To replace the chamber fans take off the outer covers and Heating Element covers.

Then 2 screws and one connector hold the fans in place.

The head cooling fan is located on the rear right side of the machine. it is held in place with a bracket that can be removed.

Once the fans have all been replaced install new tips and run a XTZ calibration.
