Objet Desktop Printer USB 652 Error - Stratasys 3D Printer Support Tip

You may occasionally experience an error on your Stratasys Objet Desktop printer that says USB error 652. This is a common issue and is easily fixable for most situations and does not require you to remove a build from the tray if it happened during a job. There are 2 things you can do that can clear the error within minutes.

The first one will work 99% of the time without a problem, and that is to just close the Objet software and shut the printer down through the windows menu. Then restart the printer and resume the build where it left off. This usually will get you back up and running.

If the error comes up again after the reboot, you will need to shut the printer down, open the lid and remove the 4 screws holding front panel on and the panel itself.

Once off, looking inside the machine you will see there is a large green circuit board mounted vertically with a bunch of cables plugged into it. Locate the black standard USB cable at the very top left of the board. It plugs into the board from the left. It may be tucked behind some flat white ribbon cables and an orange optic fiber cable.

You do not need to do anything with those cables. All you need to do is pull this USB cable out then reseat it back onto the board. Power up the machine and resume the build from where it left off. There is a chance the issue will come back at some point but these are the only ways to clear the error and get it printing again.
