2013 Extreme Redesign 3D Printing Challenge

Stratasys ninth annual Extreme Redesign contest is now open.

The contest consists of three main categories:

• Middle/High School Engineering
• College Engineering
• Art & Architecture

In the past, thousands of students have submitted their great ideas and brought them to life with a 3D printer. Stratasys is once again calling on middle school, high school and college-level students worldwide to send us their best, innovative and creative redesigns.

Everyone who enters their design will receive an official Extreme Redesign t-shirt. The top 10 entries for each category will be printed on a Stratasys 3D Printer. After final judging, 3D models will be sent to students along with a $50 USD gift card. Additional first, second and third place prizes will also be awarded to the winning entries in each of the three categories.

• First Place: $2,500 USD, plus an iPad for the instructor
• Second Place: $1,000 USD
• Third Place: $1,000 USD
• Bonus Prize: $250 USD

New for this year’s contest:

Stratasys is excited to announce that for College Engineering submissions, finalist designs will be evaluated by Edison Nation – a matchmaker for inventors and manufacturers who wish to commercialize new inventions. Finalists have a chance at having their idea turned into a real commercial product and to secure a licensing agreement with a manufacturer.
