What we know about the Windows 10 update is that it will be available to all Windows users who have Windows 7 or Windows 8. If you have your Auto Updates turned on you have probably noticed a lot of updates going in on almost a daily basis over the past couple of weeks. Those updates were Windows installing DLLs and other files to get you machine ready for the upgrade to Windows 10. If you want to update to Windows 10 you will need to go to the Microsoft website and download Windows 10.

At this time SOLIDWORKS has not released the official notice of what Service Pack of SOLIDWORKS 2015 will start to support Windows 10. We do expect a later Service Pack of SOLIDWORKS 2015 and the new SOLIDWORKS 2016 to Support Windows 10.

We suggest that at this time you DO NOT upgrade to WINDOWS 10 until it is officially supported by SOLIDWORKS.

We also recommend that before you do any upgrade to your operating system that you check the SOLIDWORKS System Requirements or your local SOLIDWORKS Reseller for latest information on supported versions. Also work with your IT Department to make sure that you are following your company standards.

As we get updates please check back to the CATI Blog for updates and new articles.
