Santa's Sleigh Reimagined with SOLIDWORKS Surfacing

In this latest edition of 3DVision’s How To Solve It webinar series, I discussed how you can create complex, contoured designs utilizing Surfacing in SOLIDWORKS.

In keeping with the spirit of the holidays, in this webinar, we modernized Santa’s sleigh to give it a much sleeker look.  To replace a blocky sleigh design like we all remember, using standard solid modeling might not be enough.  Here, we took a more in depth look into some of the tools, as well as methodologies, in working with Surfacing, such as lofting and sweeping.  Finally, as a bonus, we utilized some of the new, enhanced features in SOLIDWORKS 2017 to give our design concept a life-like look. These are some of the topics covered in this webinar.
