There’s a way to get fast, easy measurements without invoking the Measurement Tool
Well…how?
By selecting certain attributes of the model, you will get information in your Status Bar at the bottom right of your SOLIDWORKS session.
Select a single Edge to gets in length: see below
Select a single Vertex to get your 3 coordinates: see below
Ctrl + Select two parallel edges to get the Normal Distance and Total Combined Length: see below
Ctrl + Select two parallel faces to get the Normal Distance: see below
Ctrl + Select two vertices to get distance and X. Y, Z location: see below
Ctrl + Select a vertex and an edge to get the Normal Distance between them: see below
Ctrl + Select two non-parallel lines to get the angle between them:
Ctrl + Select two non-parallel planar faces to get the angle between them: see below
Select circular edge (radius or diameter) to get size and X, Y, Z location: see below
Select circular face (radius or diameter) to get only the size not the location: see below
Ctrl + Select two parallel cylindrical faces to get the distance between them: see below
Ctrl + Select multiple edges to get total combined length of selected edges: see below
