SOLIDWORKS 2016 What’s New – Plastics Overview – #SW2016
There are some really great enhancements to SOLIDWORKS Plastics in 2016! One of which is a new category for Runner Domain. You can assign runner domain to solid components as well as a mesh with solid elements.
The Warp and Flow Solver performance is also improved. A new solver CICSAM (compressive interface capturing scheme for arbitrary meshes) is a method for flow front tracking. It is the default flow solver for plastic injection molding analysis.
The report section has been improved to include the following sections: Introduction, Model Information, Material Properties, Process Parameters and many more.
Finally, the CommandManager has been updated to have the most commonly used commands listed by default so you no longer have to dive into the menus or customize your settings.
We hope this part of the What’s New series gives you a better understanding of the new features and functions of SOLIDWORKS 2016. Please check back to the CATI Blog as the CATI Support Team will continue to break down many of the new items in SOLIDWORKS 2016. All of these articles will be stored in the category of "SOLIDWORKS What's New."
