New Triflex Color Palettes for Connex3
Triflex materials provide expanded digital options for unprecedented realism in parts and prototypes. The wider selection will improve speed and efficiency with less material waste. The ten new palettes expand the Objet500 Connex3 digital material offerings to over 1,000. The new materials include six flexible and four rigid palettes.
The new Triflex material flexible offerings will be broken into three clear color and three black palettes. They will feature more than 200 vibrant color shades in a wide range of Shore A values and opacities. Two new Shore A values, Shore A 30 and Shore A 35, will be available for 3D printing. These palettes will give users the ability to blend vibrant-to-dark shades in the same part.
The four new Triflex rigid palettes will include 45 colors by combining VeroWhite and VeroBlack with color or clear material. This gives users the ability to create prototypes in subtle gray beside vibrant colors. The rigid palettes will be valuable in creating medical devices, automotive, and consumer goods with vibrant tones housed in popular gray tones. Some examples of products that the new Triflex material can be used for include:
- Toothbrush handles
- Hair brush hand grips
- Colored parts for keyboards and remote controls
- Swim fins and other sporting goods
The new material available will valuable by allowing the full production of designs without needing manual assembly. With these capabilities manufacturers can create parts that actually feel and function like future products instead of just looking like them. This gives designers the ability to validate their design earlier in the product life cycle reducing time-to-market. The Objet500 Connex3 is the only printer that has the capability to mix colors with multi-material printing. This makes creating products of varying flexibility and rigidity easy.
