SOLIDWORKS 2020 What’s New – Reimport Electrical Data for Wires, Cables, and Harnesses

EmailFacebookLinkedInTwitterShare

Previously, in SOLIDWORKS Electrical / SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D, if you wanted to remove a wire from a route you would need to clear the unwanted wire, cable, or harness from your Schematic and delete the route to be able to successfully remove the wire from the 3D model. Now in 2020 we have the capability to remove a wire or core from electrical routes, cables or harnesses in SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematic, then re-import that model, and the software removes the […]

In previous versions of SOLIDWORKS Composer for Flash or Setcolor animations you were forced to select a predefined color for that animation. In SOLIDWORKS Composer 2019 you can now specify the color parameter of the predefined Flash and SetColor motions properties to Undefined. This parameter lets you avoid changing the color of the selected actor during this step of the animation. Note: The ability to set a predefined color is still available in this version of the Software. I hope this part of the What’s […]

SOLIDWORKS 2019 What’s New – Interference Detection in Multi-Body Parts – #SW2019

EmailFacebookLinkedInTwitterShare

One of the most frequently utilized evaluation tools in assembly modeling is Interference Detection. Interference Detection identifies interferences between components and helps you to examine and evaluate those interferences. Interference detection is useful in situations where it may be difficult to visually see if two components interfere with each other. Now in SOLIDWORKS 2019 this evaluation tool is available for use in Multi-body parts to visually detect interferences between multiple solid bodies as you would with multiple components within an assembly. […]
