NVIDIA OptiX AI Denoiser and SOLIDWORKS Visualize

EmailFacebookLinkedInTwitterShare

SOLIDWORKS Visualize is one of my favorite tools to use when it comes to creating content for marketing and sales from CAD models, and it keeps getting better and better! With the release of SOLIDWORKS Visualize 2018 SP3, comes a new feature called the AI (Artificial Intelligence) Denoiser. This “super-feature”, as Brian Hillner, Project Manager for SOLIDWORKS Visualize, describes it, promises 10x faster results by magically eliminating the noise from your render scene. Thanks to NVIDIA, the AI Denoiser was born […]

Decals, Decals, Decals! – How to add decals with SOLIDWORKS VISUALIZE

EmailFacebookLinkedInTwitterShare

For those of you following along, my last few posts have been centered around SOLIDWORKS Visualize.  I’ve previously covered a basic intro to Visualize, when to use Visualize and when to use PhotoView 360, and Visualize Appearances.  For this post I will focus on the decals from my IndyCar. Decals are pretty powerful.  Not only can they make your sponsors happy, but using decals can help reduce any extraneous modeling through splitting faces of a model.  In Visualize it is […]

SOLIDWORKS Visualize vs. PhotoView 360: When Do I use What?

EmailFacebookLinkedInTwitterShare

SOLIDWORKS Visualize is a great new rendering software available as part of the SOLIDWORKS Platform.  Visualize allows users to create magazine quality images that look so real they often fool the average consumer to thinking they’re actual product photos instead of renderings.  With the great quality and amazing speed with which Visuailze can render I hear customers asking: Why would I use anything else?  There are others who love PhotoView360 and are asking: Is Visualize replacing PhotoView360?  Will I lose […]

This particular day was chosen of course in honor of the partial repeal of prohibition on April 7th, 1933, that legally allowed beer with up to 3.2% alcohol to be brewed again. The full repeal (allowing liquor and other spirits) didn’t happen until Dec 5th… So hey!  2 days to celebrate!! With the giant push towards craft beer in the recent 4-6 years in the United States […]

Today is the day millions of College Football fans have been waiting for. The National Championship game will be played tonight and the winner will be crowned the best team in the country. If you ask either head coach or any top collegiate athlete, they’ll probably tell you that to win a championship you have to VISUALIZE winning the game, so today’s tutorial will focus on SOLIDWORKS Visualize (did you see what I did there?).
